COVID recovery grants program now open

Up to $4.1 million in grants to support asset and health and safety improvements on Crown land reserves now avaialble.

The Department of Planning, Industry and Environment – Crown Lands is inviting NSW Crown land managers to apply for funding through the Crown Lands COVID-19 Recovery Support Program.

The purpose of the funding program is to enhance public health and safety measures on Crown reserves by supporting upgrades to hygiene-related facilities and associated activities, identify opportunities to improve WHS practices, and to encourage increased visitation and event activation on Crown reserves.

Implementing the funding program will help to boost the social benefits of public lands and support regional economic recovery from the impacts of COVID-19.

Grants valued from $5,000 to $150,000 (GST inclusive) will be considered for a range of things including:

  • Upgrades to hygiene facilities such as toilet blocks, soap dispensers and hand sanitiser stands
  • Procurement of equipment, signage and other resources to support COVIDsafe events
  • Work, health and safety audits for reserves by qualified professionals
