The COVID-19 pandemic remains an ongoing public health issue affecting NSW and beyond.
The NSW Government remains committed to addressing COVID-19 to minimise the risk of infection to the community.
All Crown land managers (CLMs) are encouraged to view the latest NSW Government information regarding rules and restrictions which may impact operations on Crown reserves. These rules and restrictions reflect current public health orders which have been enacted by the Minister for Health.
Many businesses, including applicable CLMs and Crown reserve user groups, are required to create and follow a COVID-19 Safety Plan. As there is diverse activity undertaken on Crown lands, differing requirements may apply to remain COVID safe. CLMs should refer to the relevant industry guidelines to prepare the required safety plans. This plan will help to ensure health and hygiene practices are implemented on reserves.
The Service NSW COVID website has a range of other resources and tools which may be relevant to CLMs, such as posters and signage templates and guidance on customer record keeping/QR codes.
Department support for CLMs
The department has launched a series of online webinars for CLMs to support community management of Crown reserves. Commencing in September 2020 and continuing into 2021 there will be free information-packed webinars with at least two webinars scheduled each week. To assist CLMs with matters relating to COVID-19, the following webinars on this topic have been scheduled. CLMs are encouraged to register for one of the following webinars.
Crown land management during COVID-19 webinar:
The department continues to provide additional support CLMs during COVID-19 restrictions. CLMs are encouraged to complete the CLM hardship form to alert the department of your current situation. We will then follow up with support as required.
