Crown land manager training program

Crown Lands has launched a new Crown land manager governance training program.

Crown Lands is excited to be collaborating with the Institute of Community Directors Australia to deliver a CLM Governance Development training program (the program) for all NSW Crown land managers (CLMs). The program is launching next week and will continue into 2021.

This program is dedicated to supporting CLMs gain skills and knowledge in governance practices and provides a unique opportunity to share experiences, celebrate ideas and gain knowledge.

The first phase commences with a series of information-packed webinars with at least 2 webinars scheduled each week. All webinars will be repeated a minimum of 3 times throughout the program.

Who can attend?

All CLMs involved in the management of approximately 34,000 Crown land reserves across NSW, those with a lease or licence on Crown land reserves, and volunteers who assist appointed CLMs manage Crown reserves are invited to participate.

The first phase of the program is scheduled from 7 September - 30 October 2020, you can register for any or all these 8 governance webinars:

  • Crown Land Management during COVID-19
  • Successful Negotiation
  • Understanding and working with our user groups
  • Roles and Responsibilities of non-council CLMs
  • Reporting requirements
  • Better meetings and decision-making
  • Finance basics
  • Strategies for resolving conflict
