Crown Lands is seeking information from non-council Crown land managers regarding any use of imported mulch on the Crown reserves they manage.
Filming projects on Crown land are consistent with the NSW Government’s policy to ‘make NSW film friendly’. A filming project means the filming component of a film, a documentary, an advertisement, a television program or a set of television programs.
Some proposed filming locations could have significant environmental values (such as important habitat or threatened species) or constraints. In such cases, the proponent film-maker should already have undertaken an environmental assessment. The CLM should obtain a copy of this assessment as part of the application process, and use it to ensure the sustainable use of the location.
CLMs should ensure:
Only the appointed CLM is authorised to issue short-term licences on the reserve. CLMs can include additional conditions in the licence relating to the specifics of the activity being undertaken. The objective of licence conditions is to clearly outline the obligations of each party entering into the agreement.
