The Crown Reserves Improvement Fund Program (CRIFP) provides funding for repairs and maintenance projects, pest and weed control, new recreational infrastructure or environmental initiatives.
Other sources of funding include bushfire hazard reduction funding and natural disaster funding – see our Other funding and income section for more about these schemes and other funding ideas.
Land management agreements may also provide funding for some types of Crown reserve, subject to approval from the department.
Beyond funding, leases and licences for one-off events, occasional use and longer-term business ventures are another potential source of income.
