17 March, 2020

The outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19) is a major health risk to the  community.

In response to an escalation of infections across NSW and more broadly across our nation, the NSW Government is implementing a range of measures to combat the spread of the disease.

Effective from Monday 16 March, public gatherings of 500 or more people are banned, as announced by the NSW Minister for Health and Minister for Medical Research.

Many Crown reserves across NSW hold events with large gatherings such as sporting activities, cultural events and agricultural shows. In line with current restrictions, all Crown land managers (CLMs) are required to cancel any mass gathering events until further notice.

NSW Health is the lead agency responsible for the State’s response to COVID-19. All CLMs should regularly check current advice, and follow guidance from NSW Health. For the most current information please visit the NSW Health website for COVID-19.
